Pretty in Pastel

Oh my goodness y’all. This has been the longest week in the history of long weeks. Last Friday Eastern PA got a freak blizzard that nobody was even expecting and we lost power for a little over 24 hours. Between trying to stay warm, all of us staying over at Joey’s sister’s house, and some personal family stuff going on, it was a really busy weekend. Wednesday Eastern PA got slammed with a second Nor’easter and I had the scariest moment of my life so that was really stressful. I am so glad this week is ending and I get to go home to Maryland this weekend after more than a month for my hair and makeup trials and my last dress fitting! Oh my goodness guys it’s becoming so real! We’re past the 3 month mark!

But for the real reason we’re here, today I’m sharing a look that I think is just so classic for spring. I looooooove pastel colors. I just think they’re so perfect for spring and with Easter coming up, this look would be perfect for whatever church service you’ve got! I used to hate accordion skirts actually. But recently I’ve had a change of heart. I’m obsessed with my pastel blue skirt. It has a really sparkly band at the top that compliments the sparkly cream colored sweater. I think this skirt is just so light and flirty for spring! It would also be gorgeous paired with a light, flowy tank top for brunch! The nude heels are the perfect height and color to make this such a classy look. I seriously feel like Kate Middleton when I wear this 😉 Adding a pop of color on the lips really brings this look to life and since the sweater is so muted, I added a chunky statement necklace that mimicked the hue of the skirt!
