Gingham Style

Hey guys! It feels like ever since Joey and I got married, our weekends have been so busy. I have never been so busy in my life! I’m hoping once the fall rolls around, we’ll have more time to relax. I am a homebody so being this busy is not normal for me. Tomorrow we’re going to Eagles training camp! I’m not an Eagles fan as I’ve said before but but I support because Joey is obsessed with all things Philly. I snagged us tickets to 1 of their 2 free training camps! I’ve only been to 1 NFL training camp and it was a few years ago for the Ravens and I had so much fun so I’m really excited for tomorrow!

I wanted to share this look with you guys before summer was over because it involves gingham. I think gingham is THE pattern of summer. Gingham, AKA “picnic table plaid”. You can’t get much more summer than that! I love how fun the pattern and the ruffles make an otherwise ordinary shirt. I found this top for $10 at Ross so I won’t be able to link the exact one but I’ll find one similar for you guys! With my hair in braids like this, my father-in-law actually told me I looked like Dorothy from the The Wizard of Oz. I paired it with gold accents and white shorts. If there’s a piece that’s more summer than anything gingham, it’s white shorts. I love white shorts and they make any look more summery. I added a pink MAC lipstick to pop against the black and white!
